Kiara ran through the baron desert, her paws scorched by the hot sand. She was going wherever her heart let her, as far from the pridelands as she could. She had to get away from there, to think, and here she was nearly killing hrself whilst doing it. She was thirsty, she was hungry and there was no chance she'd catch a vulture. She was heavily pregnant, and so running and trying to stay alive, her survival chances where low. She still had the one thing she needed. something to live for. her family. They stayed strong in her mind, and she knew that her grandfather was watching her, she could feel his presence.

Days past, and kiara was still running across the desert. Time went by so slowly, and everything looked the same. sand. sand. sand. The odd tree and very unlikely a small pool of water. She started to feel weak. She hadn't eaten and she had little to drink. She felt the cubs kick. Which made her smile - She was determined to get through this, for the sake of her unborn cubs, and bloodline of the throne of priderock. She had to find someone to look after her cubs, she knew she most proberbly wouldn't make it, through cub-birth, but as long as someone could look after them, she'd be happy.

Zazu flew overhead and found Kiara, he decided to tell kiara what had happened to Kovu, maybe if he got the king's daughter to come back to pride rock he could be promoted, " Kiara, Kiara" He screeched as he came to land at her paws, he bowed, " My princess, something has happened to Prince Kovu!" he gasped and waited for her to reply.

"Whats happened, is he ok?" she said. "is it because of me?" kiara then spluttered out, feeling real guilty. She was confused about where to go. Should she carry on doing where ever she was going to go, or would she go see him?

"Well, i...um, well you see the prince was very upset, he was... beside himself, he went to talk to Zira and she hit against a rock and he cracked his head open, and zira left the hyenas to finish him off but King Simba saved him, Kovu is conscious but he is so withdrawn, not his usual self, he wont eat, hunt and he rarely talks" Zazu gazed at Kiara's eyes as they filled with tears.

"tell the prince, im sorry. tell him that i love him. Tell him i shall visit soon. just dont mention where i am. please zazu." With that, she slowly started to pad a way from zazu, tears slowly starting to stream out from them.

zira prouled through the desert after her daughter vitani, with scar in toe zira knew it was time and when the found kiara walking in the open by herself she knew its was her chance, noticing zazu flying over head she waited and made sure not be seen

Zazu flew over the golden sands and saw a shadow he hovered for a second but it was gone, "hmph" he shrugged and carried on flying, Zira crept out of the bushes and stood waiting for her accomplice, Scar.

Vitani stood at the top of the desert waiting for scar and watching the battlefeild where her plan would take part

Kiara turned away from zazu, who had taken off in a wee bit of a fluster. He then turned towards vitani. "You had something to do with this didn't you!" she snarled. She felt a sudden twitch in her stomach. It happened again. She was still strong, even though weakened, and tried to show no fear of the pain. She had already guessed what was happening. She quickly looked around, and there she spotted an oasis, small but perfect. The pain seered through her body, and she limped, with agony over towards it. The oasis was a small spring, but it was what she needed - Why hadn't she noticed this before. She lay down, her thoughts forgetton about Vitani, And panted for breath. She flinched, the contractions were coming, slowly but surely. How long till the birth of her cubs?
